Morgan Boyd, MA, LMHC, MHP
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. I received my Bachelor of Psychology from The Evergreen State College in 2014. I went on to train in Person Centered and Psychodynamic Therapy in the United Kingdom, where I am also a qualified counselor. I received my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Edinburgh in 2018.
I offer psychodynamic and person-centered therapy while drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches depending on individual circumstances. My work is strongly informed by person-centered theory, which emphasizes empathy and better understanding our experiences in order to make changes that allow us to live with more authenticity and fulfillment. My approach is coupled with psychodynamic theory, which considers past experiences to be formative of how we relate to ourselves and others.
I am experienced in providing therapy for clients whether it be young children, adolescents, families, couples or in varying phases of adulthood. I have worked with clients with concerns that include relationship challenges, communication issues, managing times of change and transition, recovery from trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss.
I view therapy as a collaborative process where I will endeavor to create an environment that is both supportive and empowering. I look forward to connecting with you.
