Colette Swenson, MEd, LMHCA
(She/her/hers)
My name is Colette Swenson and I am a Mental Health Counselor Associate licensed in the state of Washington. I earned my BS in Psychology and my MEd as a School Counselor from the University of Washington. My background includes over 20 years experience as a School Counselor, and a wealth of experience in working with children, teens, and adults.
I bring a client-centered approach to my counseling practice, which means I listen and ask questions with the goal of understanding your situation, challenges, and goals. With that understanding we will work together to develop a path that will move you forward to your goals. I work with children 5 and older, as well as teens and adults on a wide range of issues, including relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, communication and adjustment issues, I assess clients for depression, anxiety, adjustment challenges, and other issues, and use an array of therapeutic techniques to support healing and progress.
I consider the therapeutic relationship to be a sacred one, built on trust, and it is my honor and privilege to be a part of my client’s journey.
