Emily Rohrdanz, MSW, LSWAIC
(She/her/hers)
My name is Emily Rohrdanz, and I am an Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate licensed by the State of Washington (SC61352414). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and went on to graduate with a Master of Arts in Social Work from Eastern Washington University in 2018.
I have nearly a decade of experience in mental health as both a social worker and counselor, working with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, and major life transitions. I draw from various therapeutic modalities in my practice, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness, and tailor my approach to best meet clients' specific strengths and needs.
I have developed a particular interest and expertise in issues around perinatal experiences and motherhood. I support both new and experienced mothers as they navigate identity shifts, relationship changes, and emotional challenges during pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. I work with new and soon-to-be mothers in traditional one-on-one meetings as well as in group sessions, offering both individual support and a way to build supportive relationships & communities.
My goal is to create a warm and non-judgemental space where individuals feel safe to express their thoughts and feelings openly. I believe the client is the expert when it comes to their life and that my role is to support them by providing therapeutic strategies in a collaborative and compassionate manner. I am passionate about helping individuals in their journey to living a more fulfilling life.
